After lunch at Arlington Court we decided to head to the RHS gardens at Rosemoor. It was rather busy as it was their Apple Day, but it started raining as we got there and quite a lot of people left – so every cloud really does have a silver lining! In addition, raindrops are the perfect accessory for the well dressed rose.

Mark made a new friend
My stepmother has been looking for one of these as they are so decorative and last for ages – sadly my handbag was too small to smuggle one out! 😉
the perfect shed
spotted the tea rooms through the woods – sadly the poor girl serving was on her own and I had to queue for almost half an hour to get two cups of tea and two apple scones!
Mark’s favourite tree (rather like a green Cousin It)
this fella came out to say hello and hopped around at our feet – didn’t think our honey fudge would be good for him, so he went hungry
this rose was not only a wonderful colour, it smelled fantastic
