Mark and I had intended to spend the week after Easter at our holiday flat in Dorset but we have friends staying there for now, as their flat was so badly damaged in the storms. It worked out pretty well though as it gave us a chance to do some work in the garden – slate chips around the raised beds and along the dried up stream bed – and have some local day trips.
We always like to go for a bit of a wander when we can and headed off to Bradford-on-Avon, for a stroll along the river path and back by the canal before pottering around the centre.
never can resist photographing a nice bridge
riverside cow parsley
loads of dogs out and about (with their owners, of course)
while I get most put out by snails on my veggies, I do think they are rather beautiful
love this cafe on a barge – shame we weren’t hungry at that point in our walk
and it was very nice indeed – lovely ham and salad roll and a glass of ginger beer
this fella barked at us – a lot

this road was closed to traffic for repairs, but the band still brought pedestrian visitors to the shop
great shop name and perfectly placed reflection of Mark…tee hee
