Had a day off sewing on Saturday as one of my old work colleagues came over. Being young and wild we went to a couple of National Trust properties. It looked like we would get rained on, but we managed the Courts and Lacock Abbey and the rain didn’t start until we having dinner in the pub in Bathampton.
crab apples like cherries
tiny bright red crab apples
story teller’s chair in the children’s garden
now that’s what I call a water feature
really was that colour – not photoshopped
Mark and Gavin
glimpse of gold
love these living screens between garden ‘rooms’
never seen a sign like this before!
lemons in the orangery – does that make it a lemonery?
Mark waits patiently
wooden sculpture trail at Lacock
orange – makes the greyest of days sunny
I would so love a walled garden like this one
I really liked this wooden sculpture…and so good of Gavin to pose.
tree of light
never can resist this view, but the weather makes it different every time
the dim light as the rain clouds closed in really made this shot
oh Gavin! tsk tsk
this cat had the softest fur (Gavin said he would make a good rug!!!)
