Westonbirt Arboretum

One of the seats in the garden had rotted through so we replaced the wooden slats and first thing this morning, while Mark still snored in bed, I was in the garden painting the seat…in forget-me-not blue. I still have the rest of the seat to paint, but at least the new slats are done (and the shed and the picnic table and the raised beds).

Rio makes the most of the small part of the vegetable patch not yet dug:

The garden is quite colourful at the moment, but it is not a patch on Westonbirt Arboretum, where we went to enjoy the sunshine today. So bright the colours don’t look quite real.

The vivid greens of the trees, bright yellow buttercups and bluebells all add to the technicolour experience.
